Kill The Cockroaches - Bestselling Book?
One of the greatest writers the world will ever or never know posed a question to Kimberly Hitchens at Booknook.com
From 'A Hitch in Time in Fond Memory of Booknook.biz founder Kimberly Hitchens'
Dear Hitch,
I notice independent writers are flocking to you for advice at KDP Amazon. I was just rummaging through my old papers and came across a file of rejection letters dated 1973 to 1980 from magazine editors praising my work while rejecting it. A very strange looking cockroach emerged from the file as I was doing so. It got away before I could smash it. What does it mean? I wondered. There is no such thing as a coincidence. .
I am not a writer, but I am one of the greatest authors the world will ever or never know, and, in that capacity I have not been interested in prostituting myself to whatever the market is because that would be counterproductive to my objective, but I would like to see if I could sell a few books instead of giving them away. It is to that end that I hope you will counsel me.
I have not had time yet to advertise. At present I am writing a fact-based novel or faction based on true events, and I have composed this advertisement:
“Author David Arthur Walters has announced that he is working on a new book to be entitled ‘Kill the Cockroaches’ based upon what he learned from the 650-page book ‘Full Catastrophe Living,’ by Jon Kabat-Zinn,' that all the words in the world are nothing without action, a notion recently espoused by Hillary Clinton friend of former Miami Beach mayor, Philip Levine, a self-made man whose net worth he attributes to work and ignoring critics, whom he called 'Screamers and Yellers,’ the title of a soon to be released book by him and his successful friend and partner, Scott Robins. Walters suddenly realized the true value of ‘Full Catastrophe Living’ and the many millions of words he had previously read when he used the book to kill cockroaches and had a Zen moment wherein he became at one with Being and was relieved of the burden of existence, an experience described in his illuminating chapter, Orgasmic Unity. He expects to release ‘Kill the Cockroaches’ on May Day 2022, Vol. 69 in his Dragonpearls of Wisdom Minibook Series
David,
I would be very, very careful with that book, bud.
